Frequently Asked Questions

What is mouth tape, and how does it work?

Mouth tape is a gentle adhesive strip worn overnight to keep your lips sealed, encouraging nasal breathing instead of mouth breathing. Guiding airflow through your nose promotes deeper sleep, better oxygenation, and improved recovery. Pairing it with a nose strip can further enhance breathing efficiency.

Who should use mouth tape?

Anyone who snores, wakes up feeling unrested, or struggles with mouth breathing at night can benefit from using mouth tape. It’s also popular among athletes who want to strengthen nasal breathing habits for better sleep and sports performance.

Is mouth tape safe to use every night?

Yes. Our mouth tape is made with hypoallergenic, skin-friendly adhesive for nightly use. It’s designed to be gentle, comfortable, and effective, making it safe to incorporate into your long-term sleep routine.

Can mouth tape improve sports performance?

Absolutely. Training your body to breathe through the nose, even during sleep, enhances oxygen uptake and endurance. Many athletes use mouth and nose tape for sport as part of their conditioning routine to improve airflow and support faster recovery.

Will mouth tape help reduce snoring?

Yes, in many cases. By preventing mouth breathing, mouth tape can reduce snoring caused by airway vibrations. This leads to quieter nights and more restful sleep for both you and your partner.

How do I apply and remove mouth tape?

It’s simple. Clean and dry your lips, place the strip across the centre of your mouth, and press lightly. In the morning, peel it off gently. For more guidance, see our step-by-step how-to-use instructions.

Can I use mouth tape if I have a cold or a blocked nose?

No. Mouth tape should only be used when you can comfortably breathe through your nose. If you’re congested from a cold or allergies, it’s best to wait until your nasal passages are clear.

Is mouth tape reusable?

No. Each strip is designed for single use to ensure maximum hygiene and effectiveness. Fresh tape each night ensures optimal comfort and adhesion.

Do you provide tips for maximising results?

Yes. Our learn section offers expert advice on breathing techniques, sleep posture, and pairing mouth tape with nasal strips to achieve the best results for sleep and sports recovery.

Can I breathe through my mouth with the tape on?

The tape is designed to encourage nasal breathing by gently keeping your lips closed. If you experience discomfort or difficulty breathing, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Will mouth tape work if I have a beard?

Absolutely! Our adhesive is strong enough to hold even on thick or bearded lips, providing a secure fit throughout the night.

How do I remove the tape in the morning?

Simply peel the tape off gently from one corner. If your skin feels sensitive, removing it after a warm shower can make it easier.

Great

Love them. Sleep improved - no waking in the evening. Very comfortable like you don't know you're wearing them. I would give 5 stars if there was a little moisture something for the lips

Life changing

I have a deviated septum and allergies ans was waking every night with a dry mouth and blocked nose. These strips have helped so much. I can now breathe and get a peaceful night sleep. I would like a smaller size though for petite noses as I have to cut them down to size every night as they go from cheek to cheek instead of just on my nose.
